Wyatt “Pete” Thompson, Jr., PA-C

Pete grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia but has called Raleigh home for the past 22 years. Pete graduated from North Carolina State University in 1994 with a degree in Environmental Science. After getting married, he and his wife joined the Peace Corps and were volunteers for two years in an Indian village in Suriname, South America. After returning, Pete went on to earn a Master’s degree in Crop and Soil Science from Virginia Tech and landed a job in the Crop Science Department at NSCU.

Reflecting on his Peace Corps experience, coupled with his lifelong interest in the medical field, he then decided to pursue a career in Health Science. He received his degree in Physician Assistant studies from East Carolina University in 2008.
Pete has experience in family medicine, women’s health, behavioral health, and internal medicine, amongst other medical specialties. He loves being a Physician Assistant because he enjoys helping others, especially when they need it most. Pete looks forward to caring for you and your family in our Garner location.
