Melissa Presley is a nurse practitioner working with Med First Carolina Coast Primary Medicine
She has expertise in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine as well as in Oncology. She has over 17 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. She has traveled with IMANA to Jordan in the save Syria Campaign of 2016. Additionally, she traveled to the Philippines with NYC Medics on a humanitarian mission when hurricane Yolanda struck in 2013.
She has a degree in Education with a specialization in middle and high school science from Concord University. She was awarded a Fellowship Recipient from the Carnegie Mellon Foundation. She has taught middle school as well as adult students studying for their GED.
She has an A.S .in Nursing from Bluefield State College where she graduated with honors. She has a M.S Public Health Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner from University of Illinois at Chicago again graduating with honors. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Nurses Association and North Carolina Nurses Association.
